We now have a blog. We know that we are a little behind the times, but always better late than never. We thought for our first entry we would start with a recap of our days in Texarkana last year.
After graduation, Heath accepted a job that would take our family to Texarkana, a city on the border of Texas and Arkansas. Texarkana proved to be an interesting and exciting place for us. During our time there we made some great friends, added to our family, and tried to perfect our golf game.
OK, we will try to elaborate a little more. We traveled to Texarkana with some friends that we had recently met at USU accepted into the same AMC program. We were quickly accepted into the friendly ward, and soon became attached to the people there. Tyson enjoyed his summer there, because we lived in the Links Apt. where we could golf and swim as much as we wanted. Tyson learned how to swim, as he went to the pool everyday.
After Tyson went home, our house did not stay quiet for long. Saydee was born in November and filled our home with lots of excitement.
Heath continued to go to grad school, and Heidi started to work at Minton's Sportsplex as a Visual Fitness Planner and personal trainer. When Tyson came back for the following summer he spent a lot of time swimming and playing at the sportsplex.
Texarkana also offered some great local attractions. We took advantage of opportunity to see some gators, and other wild animals.
Heath then graduated from grad school and has now been assigned to Scott AFB in IL. So that is where we'll pick up next time.
