Conference time and tutus.

The previous three weekends we had Women's Conference, then General Conference and the next week was Stake Conference. Its a time of self reflection. In fact I'm a hit and miss on new year's resolutions because I usually make the most important ones at Conference time.

Sometimes personal weakness can feel so overwhelming and frustrating. But Conference always inspires me with more confidence and capability to meet my demands. I can definitely do alot better.

So a few of my Conference inspired resolutions : Mostly just the basics.

Personal: Meaningful personal Prayer and scripture study. Find a time to pray in the crazy morning hours.

Family: Patience. Earlier to bed (big one for me). FHE every week. Watch my words and body language especially around my little sponges.

Other: Attend the temple monthly. Always pay tithing first. Control my tongue and negatisms about people and situations. Stop the procrastination!

Speaking of procrastination. I had spent all Saturday night making these no-sew Tutus for our Super Saturday display today. They are actually going to be part of the girls Halloween costumes. Saydee is going to be a witch and Elli a bunny. I used this tutorial from Plumtickled.typepad.com. They are so easy and they have a large variety of colored tulle, even darling sparkle tulle at Hobby Lobby. Goes on sale every few weeks.

Oh my goodness! So stinkin' cute!! I actually kept thinking this whole last week, I need to call Heidi so I can figure out how to make those tutu's! Love them, love them, love them!
I feel the same way about conference. It is some deep personal reflection time, and such a spiritual boost! Let me know if you can figure out the early to bed thing, I'm in serious need of some help in that area myself! Love and miss you guys!

how cute are those tutus and how adorable are our girls. I loved all the pics you've done in Oct. I am so slow in commenting on them. Thank you so much for sharing. It really does make me feel closer to you all. Conference was so wonderful. Thank you for sharing your goals. I really should make some for myself but then I would have to work!! Not a fan of that thought process. JK. I have so enjoyed this autum season, we have had such warm days & cool nights but it is coming to a quick close. Tomorrow rain and next week a lot cooler. Just when we thought we could get to the Pumplin walk with out freezing. Not going to happen though it sounds like it.
LOVE YOU ALL AND MISS YOU SO MUCH. KEEP ON POSTING!!! LOVE THE PICTURES!!!
