Over the Weekend

Tyson got a new bed this weekend, well new to him, so he was excited. Actually he was more excited that he got to help his Dad put it together. No matter how much we tell him the bed is strong enough to hold the box spring and mattress all through the night he has convinced himself it would collapse if he slept on it. We even let Saydee and him rough around a bit on it to prove it's sturdiness, supervised of coarse because Saydee is a maniac. Even this morning, I walked in to find him sleeping on the floor on a ton of blankets. He said, "Well I'm surprised it didn't fall." So, maybe tomorrow he'll give his new bed a try. You'd think he'd have a bit more faith in his Dad's handywork.

It has become our family tradition during the summer to have family slumber parties. We'd like to camp out in our backyard, but since we don't have one, we have resorted to our living room where we enjoy the comforts of home: movies, popcorn, and a bathroom. In fact, we have spoiled ourselves to the point of hauling out the mattresses. Pathetic, we know.

By no means does Heath claim to be a wizard in the kitchen, but we all agree that he makes the most delicious homemade brownies. On Sunday he decided it was time to pass on his mom's famous brownie recipe, which he now claims as his own simply because he added chocolate chips to the batter. It appears that Tyson has that same gene for brownie making, they were amazing! Saydee however, was fired from the crew for dumping flour into the cocoa and missing the mixing bowl entirely.

Hey,
Heath is going to have to give up that secret recipe sometime. Those were some amazing brownies! I am sure the kids enjoyed them! I love the pictures, but where is Heidi? Hope you guys are all doing well. Give everyone our love!

I agree with your mom Heidi, we need pictures of you too! I used to ask if I could put chips or nuts in the brownies but Heath would refuse saying that he wanted his brownies pure! What's with the chips now Heath? Way to go Tyson, keep on helping with the baking and the handy man things around the house. You will never regret learning everything. Hey Saydee you keep on mixing things up, you never know when you'll come up with a fantastic new yummy dish!
Love all of you and cant' wait to see you all soon.
LOVE Grandma Nese :)

Tyson is such a character. I loved the bed story. He has such a cute personality. That is awesome that everyone helps out in the kitchen. I have banned Casey from the kitchen too so he and Saydee should get together and swap stories :). I bet the kids love the slumber parties. You guys are such great parents. Please give the kids hugs and kisses from us.
We love you!
